Friendly Toast Cafe 2 - Melbourne

This is a nice spot for a homemade breakfast, complemented by a dedicated staff. They really know how to cook eggs just the way I like them—neither overcooked nor runny. It’s nothing fancy, just a good diner for breakfast! I’d give it a 4 for the great food and service, but I’m holding back on a 5 because there’s nothing that stands out as “exceptional.”

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. At first, we were a bit confused since there was no sign indicating whether to wait or sit, but after a moment, we were warmly welcomed. Mae, our server, was fantastic—she was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very clean, and it was clear that the staff takes the time to keep things organized. A unique note: the bathroom was spotless (which is quite refreshing considering my experience at another restaurant). The prices were reasonable, and the omelet I ordered was delicious. All the food was well-prepared. We will definitely return!

Mashed potatoes are entire potato w/skins and very lumpy. Their breakfast menu looks fantastic. My 1st time. Daughter frequents!

I often come here. Food is excellent and the waitresses are very friendly and hard working. I love the quality of food and the family atmosphere. You're pretty busy. It's better, but never have to wait for a table. It is large enough with many tables and counterspace. I tried elsewhere, and I've always come back! Five stars!
