Bebu - Melbourne

Quiet location with a spare but warm decorFriendly unobtrusive staffSomeone came in asking about gluten free, and the waiter knew his stuff.

Bebu currently has half price happy hour bibimbap from 4pm to 6pm. Their bulgogi beef bibimbap is tasty but I'm not sure about the omelette. Other places might serve theirs with raw egg. Still, excellent value when half price at $7.50 so be sure to return $2.50 in change for the tip.

The restaurant is in the front of A'beckett Tower and access is through walk though. Staff were friendly and efficient, with food served promptly. Copy of menu photo attached. Food was clean and reflected the Korean fusion style that is spicy and contains a mix of flavours and textures. I had the soy chicken Bips (hot stone rice bowl) and it was delicious.

I went here from work for a 10 dollar lunch deal in my 40 minute break which are precious minutes . I had the chicken and rice. It was served hot, quickly, cleanly, pleasantly with great quality , surprisingly good wild rice mixture with a side salad. Good one. I felt under dressed in my work gear but not uncomfortable. Smallish seating for a big bloke. I rate the place for the quick lunch but need to revisit for a more extensive meal . Going on what I saw I won't be disappointed .
