Írjon visszajelzéstI 've seen so many good reviews at this place that I wanted to check it out. Came here on a Saturday night, easy to find. There were very few people in here when we ordered but we waited 30 minutes for the cocktail and when we asked how long it would be we were fobbed off every time!! Awful customer service. I don 't know how the bar would cope with a 'busy ' atmosphere with people actually wanting drinks. Failure! If the music wasn 't playing James brown it would be a gutter!
We just happened to stumble upon this bar cafe and were so glad we did! The young staff were very welcoming and provided great service to us 50 somethings! The food was excellent, especially the green beans and asparagus in chilli oil the reviewer below who said that the oil was too spicy needs to man up, it was perfect to us! The music finished off the ambiance, it was just perfect! Make an effort to get to this place, it's well worth it...
Just arrived in Melbourne for a 4 day foodie holiday and wanted a snack . Too late in the day for lunch but too early for dinner. This quirky hole in the wall spot may give the initial impression that salmonella may be in the menu but couldn 't be further from the truth. The pulled pork, red curry mozzarella and pickled pineapple pizza was awesome and the pork belly, ginger slaw and hot tamarind rotis **** delicious ! Will definitely be back to try more of the menu
My husband my hopes were high for Boney as we are big fans of Cookie, but we were very disappointed by our experience. Firstly I would like to say that the ambience was great our waitress did a sensational job considering that they were obviously operating on a skeleton staff she was the only one on the floor seating diners, taking orders, pouring drinks, delivering meals settling bills! Way too much to ask of one person on a busy Saturday night. Our meals came fairly quickly, we started with the green beans, asparagus, chilli garlic oil. Little did we know that this dish would absolutely destroy our taste buds for the rest of our meal. The beans asparagus were cooked to perfection, but the chilli was so over powering that it was like taking a mouthful of greens from the gates of hell itself. Our main meals may well have been heavenly, I ordered the Calamari with the salted duck egg my husband the Chicken Prawn with egg net salad, but we will never know as we were still madly guzzling water to try to disperse the lingering after burn of the chilli. Don't get me wrong, I like a bit of chilli, but this was way too much definitely ruined our whole dining experience. We were Chillied to the Boney were still feeling the effects well into Sunday . We'll stick with Cookie leave Boney for those who like to play with fire.
This little place rocks, the ribs are to die for at $16.50, the beers are boutique, the **** Mary 's are made with skill and love which is reflected in the flavour. Service id quick, friendly and efficient. The remainder of the meals are really well thought through and complimentary of the rest of the menu. Beers are sold in pots aka middies 285mls or pints. I duck in there just for a quick beer and still crave those ribs! Mmmmmm beer
