Írjon visszajelzéstI really enjoy their gluten free pizza with The Lot. And, their Deluxe Pescatore with big prawns and calamari. Have been all over the world, this La Porchetta's pizza is the best. Lots of topping. Crispy base. It's not Roman style, ultra thin but just the right amount of doughyness and crispy. I need to ask for extra cheese as they are light handed with the cheese. It's an extra charge but, worth it. The new shop in Victoria Street takes away the franchise ambiance. It has turned it into an upmarket restaurant at La Porchetta prices. Some of the staff who work here have been there for as long as I can remember.
La P always brings back memories for me. I have had countless pizzas and pastas at their different locations across Melbourne. The North Melbourne branch is one of my top choices because I can always rely on the high quality, which can be inconsistent with chain restaurants. I usually order the BBQ chicken pizza or the avocado chicken fettuccine, both of which are delicious and reasonably priced. It's a family-friendly and casual spot, perfect for a pit stop after a morning of shopping at the Vic market.
This is the original La Porchetta, where I have been dining since 1995. The food is consistently good, though the service can be inconsistent. However, the location is convenient and offers good value for money.
I found the pizza to be delicious and crispy, with a thin crust that I really enjoyed. My usual choice is the capricciosa, and I particularly liked the addition of anchovies. The sticky date pudding was also quite tasty, with a delicious toffee sauce. However, I found the pudding itself to be too dense and cake-like, so I didn't end up finishing half of it.
This is one of the best La Porchetta restaurants you will visit. Good management I think makes a big difference and it filters down to their staff. Pizza seem better quality than other locations. Not my closest La Porcehetta but the one I have visited most.
