Mad Mex Bourke St - Melbourne

I visited this restaurant to try out the chain's new #vegancheese, which is available for free for a limited time. I ordered a small tofu burrito with guacamole (which cost an extra $1) and a 'healthy' charcoal wrap (also an extra $1). The guacamole was definitely worth the extra cost, but the wrap didn't really add much value. It probably isn’t even healthier, but I admit I'm a bit of a sucker for superfood trends. At least the friendly staff member allowed me to use the charcoal tortilla for my small burrito, even though I believe it's usually reserved for larger sizes. From what I've seen, all Mad Mex locations are quite similar, but this one does accept Liven pay, which is a nice perk if you're in this part of the city often.

I've been visiting Mad Mex for a long time, and the flavors continue to impress me. I ordered the nachos with chicken and pork, and I added a variety of toppings from the salad section. The server was incredibly generous with the portions, especially with the jalapeños! I found it a bit challenging to finish, but you know what? I'll definitely be back for more!

The staff at this restaurant are friendly, and the food is consistently good. It is a bit on the pricey side considering the portion sizes, but it's still decent overall. The location is convenient, situated right in the food court where it's easily noticeable.
