Alpine Restaurant Bar - Melton

I went to this restaurant with a friend for lunch after making a reservation weeks in advance. It was difficult to get the attention of the waiting staff, so we had to go to the counter to ask for assistance. The starters, smoked salmon and beetroot salad, were very small portions with minimal salmon. Our main courses, Sunday roast and veggie roast, came with small sides, especially the cauliflower cheese which was tiny. The lemon roulade for dessert was delicious. We were asked to move tables halfway through our meal, which seemed disorganized. As other guests have mentioned, the prices are high and the service and portion sizes do not align. It is unlikely that we will return, which is disappointing.

I went to this restaurant for breakfast and enjoyed the food, but I found the music to be very loud. I requested for it to be turned down, but my request was ignored until I complained again. I would recommend coming here for the food, but consider bringing earplugs due to the loud music.

My family and I visited the Grange with our dog and had an amazing breakfast. They offer both traditional and vegetarian Full English breakfast options, along with a diverse menu to suit everyone's tastes. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, and the food was piping hot and great value. The cake selection, especially the huge scones, was excellent whether you want to eat in or take away. The garden plants were also impressive and well-maintained, providing a lovely atmosphere for a post-breakfast stroll. Kudos to all the staff at the Grange for a job well done.
