Ooh Wee Latrece Soul Food - Mesquite

If I could rate this place 0 stars I definitely will! Customer service is not great, they aren’t up to date with anything. Probably a good thing i didn’t get my order but I recommend not coming here to save about $30-90.

I’m a NOLA girl who misses home cooking. I wanted some southern/soul foods and went to good ole’ google. I’m so glad this spot came up! I dined in and had southern oxtails with candy yams, mixed greens, and delicious sweet cornbread! It was soooooo good I ordered a pork chop plate to-go.

Il’ve been here several times I must say the vibe customer service is always of love respect. They really are good people, which translates into great soul food. Thanks for the consistency of service, thats rare.

The pictures says all you need to know but I must rave on Ooh Wee Latrece Soul Food. I’m from Louisiana, new to Texas and I miss southern styled food! I had the Southern Oxtails plate with cabbage, candied yams and cornbread! Finger licking good, literally! Everything was cooked to perfection. Very rich flavorful. The oxtails were falling off the bone tender! Thank you for the exceptional customer service. I was extremely satisfied and will definitely be back!

I really liked Ooh Wee Latrece! I came in on rainy day right before Thanksgiving and everyone was so sweet and accommodating! Great options as far as food...all of my soul food favorites like collard greens, cabbage, black eyed peas, pork chops, fried chicken...ALL the good stuff. Do not leave without the Peach Cobbler!!Latrece is an absolute sweetheart and I met her brother also, his name escapes me but he was very nice as well : Latrece is very passionate about cooking and I could tell from her conversation that she loves working with her hands which is awesome...Now my mouth is watering....I'm on my way back! LOL
