Delightful Spot for a small bite/treat to stop. Not touristic. Some employees speak English. It was a short walk from the cruise port. The location is near a hub for the buses, so it is easy to and from.

A really chic place with comfortable seating and a great selection on the menu. This is really something for everyone to try or visit regularly as it is not too expensive. I recommend the place for all people.

Amazing Pistaccio ice cream. It is recommended to go there only for this taste.

AMAZING granita! I must give a shout out to the two men who I stopped on the street, to get some information about directions and places to eat. They recommended this bar, and even though it was a little trek from where they had been talking to me, it was my mission to find the place and I'm so glad I did! Of all the places I ate while in Messina, this was my favorite. I wasn't really in the mood for something sweet, but oh my gosh, I'm so glad I ordered what they suggested! The strawberry granita was one of the most delicious things I've ever had and I will be back one day if I'm ever in Sicily again. While I wasn't in love with the brioche on the side, it was still good. But I wouldn't order it that way ever again. It was too heavy and because the brioche is plain, it doesn't really make sense...but perhaps I ate it wrong. The staff was very friendly, particularly the man who helped me, who I imagine was the owner and he reminded me a lot of James Woods, but I'm not sure why exactly). The price was fair, the granita and brioche together came to just under 4 Euro. I wanted to go back later to get some pastries to take home with me, but I got turned around in the city and couldn't find the place again. : In some way, if I were closer to Sicily I would go back to Messina just to visit this cafe' again. Definitely come in here just to try their granita it seriously tastes like a fancy strawberry Orange Julius! Highly, highly recommended!
