Taverna Agora

This is my new favorite restaurant in Raleigh! I travel to the Crabtree Valley area for work, and I drove by this place several times and never went in, but finally I decided to have dinner there and I am so glad I did! I think they are only open for dinner (at least during the week), but on my next trip, I will have dinner there every night. The food is simply the best Greek food I've ever had, and it's better than any other restaurant I have been to in the area. This is not a boring hummus and gyros kind of place. They have delicious foods to suit every palate. The different dips on the appetizer menu are all amazing...I finally decided that the feta spread and the eggplant spread were my favorites after much sampling. I tried the lamb on my first visit and the pork shishkabob on my second visit, and they are both really great, though I am partial to the pork. My husband got the stuffed peppers both nights and said they were pretty close to perfection. The portions and quality substantiate the prices, and I would HIGHLY recommend you get there soon! The restaurant was only about half full on both nights that we went, and it would be a shame if they had to close a place this amazing.
