The first strike came when we arrived on time for our reserved corner table, only to find it occupied by another group despite our week-long reservation and several empty tables available. Strike two occurred when we inquired with the server about the Kirin Ichiban beer listed on the menu with a "Buy 1, take 1" promotion, only to be told that it was not included in their Happy Hour special. The server's sarcastic response was unhelpful and dismissive. Strike three came when the same server insisted that all our Happy Hour beers be served at the same time, despite our request to have them served separately to keep them cool. This rigid and nonsensical policy made our Happy Hour experience anything but pleasant.
Yakult shake is interesting (on good wise) they have beautiful big sushi plates and luxurious sashimi. I like my sushi spicy. their plates are really beautiful. I was there for the music at night!
Due to dietary restrictions preventing the children from consuming hot, hard, and crispy foods, Chotto Matte was the only sushi restaurant open around 2:30 pm. The service was quick and friendly. We ordered 7 dishes and most were enjoyable. The sushi was fresh and well presented. The children particularly enjoyed the omakase 5, soba, and zushi don. The tuna tataki was satisfying. However, the umaki dish was served hot, which was unexpected and disappointing as it tasted like an omelette roll. The four seasons dish could have been more refreshing if not for the heavy syrup.
This restaurant is easy to locate and the food is tasty. While it may not be the top Japanese restaurant, it definitely isn't the worst either. It's worth a try if you're in the mood for Japanese cuisine.
Stopped by for dinner with family including an infant. We asked for a table and were escorted around the back of the restaurant to a dining area. It took a while for me to realise that we were in Izakaya Sunsu next door.
