My experience at the restaurant was disappointing. We waited a long time before anyone took our drink orders. When we moved to the salad bar, almost everything was depleted, and no one came by to refill the items. I had to ask three times for the staff to restock the selections. The meat also took a long time to arrive, and when it finally did, it was either undercooked or overcooked. I can't recommend this place at all.
It's been about 5 or 6 years since I last visited a Fogo de Chao, and this experience was a delightful reintroduction to the chain. We had a reservation, and were seated right away. Our server, Sebastian, was prompt and attentive, and Diedre also checked in on us frequently to ensure we had everything we needed. Rungel, the manager that evening, made sure we were well taken care of as well. Overall, the service was impeccable, and the food was, as always, delicious. I definitely won't wait another 5 or 6 years to come back!
Overall, it was a good experience. However, the service was slow, and the variety of meats offered was just okay. The salad bar was decent, but the hot food options were quite disappointing. I suggest management check out Texas de Brazil for some ideas.
Thankfully there was the buffet, otherwise we would have left with empty stomachs as nobody was coming to our area with meats. One of the employees advised us that the staff decided not to serve the table next to us (a table of around 15 African American people) because they didn’t like them and their attitude. As a result, all the people close to that table were getting the same kind of treatment, just because seating close by. My husband and I left still hungry for meat as we could only get food from the salad bar, however we still ended up paying full price (100 dollars each, with wine, tips, and taxes) . I haven’t seen any manager I could speak to, so I left and went to a steakhouse nearby called Smith and Wollenski. Tried to contact the management via email but apparently nobody cares so I guess the only way to warn future customers is to write this review.
