Chequers Inn - Mid Suffolk

So much choice from menu and special board, very clean and bright in the inner, exemplary service, and what a meal just perfect, a place to travel to good food to good trips, it was not more business, it deserves to be.

The restaurant was bustling at night, with the pub packed full of people. The Quiz host did a fantastic job, being organized and easily heard. The waitresses were top-notch, maintaining their friendly demeanor and quick service in spite of being extremely busy. They did an excellent job keeping up with refills and ensuring customers were well taken care of. Well done, ladies!

The staff member was talkative and accommodating, but we were disappointed by the roast. We only received one roast potato each, no parsnips, limited vegetables, and not enough gravy. I have previously had excellent roasts at this restaurant. The price for the roasts, soft drinks, and desserts was higher than I expected based on the portions served.

The staff were great, but the food was disappointing. It felt like cafeteria food to me. The Christmas dinner only came with one roast potato and no parsnips. I won't be going back.

Mediocre at best. Staff friendly and fine . Food arrived after minutes of ordering . Must of been microwaved hunters chicken was tough and over cooked . Both dishes definitely over priced . A lot of effort has been put into a recent refurbishment...but lacking comfort or atmosphere . We will not be returning .
