Disappointment Diner - Middletown

Diner was located in a very prime location in middletown. The atmosphere of the place was good. The waitress were really polite. Our waitress Alexander was very sweet. We ordered the chicken parm , we got a hair but they immediately took it and replaced it with a new meal. Also ordered the avacado salad with the salmon Which was well done per request. For dessert we tried the Canoli which was good too. Had a good experience.

Pictured is a single pancake and a bacon ham omelet with fries. The food here is great comfort food. Didn't feel like making breakfast on the rainy morning so I went out to get some breakfast food. Succeeded to fill my craving. Been going here for a while and never had a bad dish. Good service/seating area.

We were in Middletown, CT., a few days ago and thought we’d catch a bite at the Athenian II Diner Restaurant. Even though they offer a great selection of Greek, Italian and American dishes, we opted for breakfast which is served at anytime during the day. We enjoyed a hearty, homestyle meal that hit the spot from start to finish! Expect generous portions, decent prices and fantastic service. Our Server, Rosana, was warm, friendly and very welcoming. —She made us feel right at home which was truly appreciated after a long day on the road. As a service professional, she made sure that our dining experience was a good one; and we appreciated that as well. As an aside in this review, I’d also like to mention that the restaurant has a nice, relaxed vibe. …And it was really nice to see, who we learned, is the restaurant owner, John Daoutis, taking time up front to greet new customers and their regular guest. With this kind of devotion, it’s no wonder that this family owned business is nearing 30 years of providing great food and service! Yes, we definitely recommend the Athenian II and plan to visit again when we’re in the area. PS. Slices of Strawberry and Raspberry Cheesecakes To-Go was excellent too!

Mom and pop comfort food. Great choices and tasty. Service inconsistent. Host could not have cared less as he tossed out menus on a table without looking at us. The server was excellent! Attentive friendly and professional.

Coming from Florida here and was amazed by there tasty home fries and the wonderfully done challah French toast. Would come here again for sure
