First off I am 44 years old and have been going to the Switch since, well let 's say 21. No matter what day or time you walk in that place and it doesn 't matter who is behind the bar they treat everyone the same. Like a patron, a customer, and oh how about this a human being. As a matter of fact I was at the Switch a few weeks ago, just missing brunch, and the place was filled with people of all sorts of colors of the human rainbow. And you know what? The white bartender was fully engorged in conversations with all people in the bar. So take the last review woth a grain of salt. The Switch Inn has and will be one of the greater spots in Middletown. One of the final few bars that aren 't ran by corporate. Take care of all customers (as long as they are paying) no matter what they look like. So hit up the Switch Inn if you 're in Middletown, they have amazing food, great staff, amazing drinks and some of the best conversations you can have
The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Bartenders Erin and Sarah craft exceptional drinks of all varieties. They are not only friendly and courteous but also very outgoing. They consistently provide excellent recommendations for both food and drinks.
The Boneless Chicken Kickers are incredible! They are extremely tender and bursting with flavor. My personal favorite is the Honey BBQ.
I ordered the Jumbo Buffalo Wings with extra crispiness and hot sauce, but what I received was disappointing. There were 12 wings, but they were far from crispy—more like a pile of rubbery, slimy wings with hardly any sauce on them. They were essentially inedible if you expect a certain standard from wings. I've had these wings from this restaurant before, and they've usually been quite good, so I really hope this isn't the new norm since their regular chef left. Paying $18 for this was definitely not worth it.
This is a fantastic little spot! The boneless wings are excellent, and the bartenders are attentive and friendly. As a first-time visitor, I had a wonderful experience. They have a signature drink called the Enchilada or something similar—make sure to ask for it without lemon juice and with lime juice instead. Sarah is amazing!
