Family owned great friendly service homeade jams strawberry and blueberry.Yummy right on Baker across from RBC.
This place is not messing around! I got a Hawaiian pizza and it came out loaded, I love it.The pizza reminded me of my dad's home made pizza back In the day loaded with pineapple cheese and meat with lots of flavor .Normally I can eat a whole pizza but luckily 1/3 of this bad boy is my lunch today as wellParking: Lots of parking out front and parking across the street for long hallers and trailer pullersWheelchair accessibility: A little ramp up to the door with handles on the wall
Nice small town diner. Good food and service. A great place to spend time while waiting for the border to open.
So our experience was interesting. It was definitely a normal diner. I don't want to be harsh as this could have been an off day. We had to wait an hour for our food, which when you are travel isnt great. We were told it was because everyone was ordering take out. Granted it is a small town and only one or two restaurants were open. The service was great, our server was very personable and upset when my food was not cooked properly because she wanted me to be happy. Which I felt was very genuine. We didn't get it re-made because it took too long and we had to keep on the road. My mom enjoyed her quesadilla, my daughter did not enjoy her fish and chips as the fish was over cooked and dry but we didn't say anything as she was hungry and just ate it. My burger was the worst as it was burnt, everything in it was burnt, including the fried onions. It was a hockey puck when I tried to bite it. On the plus side we all enjoyed the fries. The burger was $20 on the menu but for some reason they charged $23. Either way she took it off our bill and apologized for our meal. Maybe the kitchen was overwhelmed with too many orders and ours got overcooked in the process or they may need a new cook. I did notice another table got almost black pucks of meat too...but ate it anyway.Other than how the food was cooked, it seems like a good diner from service and diner atmosphere perspective. Although, I do hope they take down the covid dividers soon. It takes away from the atmosphere. So I will take into consideration how good our server was and hope it was an off day and will give it another try. Will update my review after.Kid-friendliness: Lots of space and would have no issues with kids.
