Mexico Lindo - Miles City

The staff at this restaurant is exceptionally friendly and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The food is delicious, served in generous portions, and is reasonably priced. I recently visited another Mexican restaurant that charged $3 for a child's serving of rice and beans, but you would never find that at Mexico Lindo! The dishes are served promptly, and the restaurant maintains a clean environment. It's definitely one of the best places to have a meal in Miles City.

We arrived around 1 PM on a Friday and were promptly seated. We were served hot chips and two types of salsa right away. The menu featured a wide range of typical Mexican dishes. Our food came quickly after we placed our orders and was full of flavor. The lunch specials were reasonably priced, and the restrooms were clean. The restaurant had a bright and inviting atmosphere. We were very pleased we stopped by while passing through.

Terrible experience. Honestly, just terrible. I wouldn't recommend this place—it's better to pass it by. The food was disappointing; my daughter found a large hair on her scoop of sour cream, which was very unappetizing. My Chili Relleno was old, greasy, and hardly edible. I returned it and ordered a taco instead, but the waitress didn't seem surprised at all, which was amusing in a sad way. The customer service was virtually nonexistent; she didn't check on us after serving our meals, and we had to ask another server for drink refills. To make matters worse, the prices were absurdly high. I can only assume it’s because they have no competition in the area. Our server, Ailyn, was particularly ineffective and should consider a different line of work.

I was the first to review this place about 12 or 13 years ago. This was our first time passing through again at a mealtime. I gave it 5* last time but it did not qualify for even close to that this time. It was packed for a Wednesday night but we got seated right away. The waiter took our order. Our food came out and was pretty good. The chips and salsa was good and the waiter got us more salsa when we asked. We finished eating and that's when the wheels fell off. We were hoping to order dessert but sat there for 15 minutes with our empty plates. I was busy booking a hotel for the night but my kids started asking what was going on. My young daughter wondered if they would even care if we just left. Finally after a few more minutes I got up and went up to the host stand/register and said I wanted to pay so we could leave because my server never came back. The guy finally came by and I told the lady that he was my waiter who never came back. He took over at the register and I commented that we were upset that he never came back. No apology whatsoever. He just snapped at me that he is busy. Fine, I get that you are busy, but don't be a jerk to me about your problem and at least apologize for being so rude and wasting my time. I guess they have enough business that they don't have to be nice. One star off for him. Another for not keeping the kitchen clean when I walked by on the way to the bathroom. Disappointing.

The food was a 2 at best. The service was decent and the atmosphere was just so so. I won't be back. The food (at least what I ordered) was very subpar.
