They only come in a dinner that includes mashed potatoes with gravy (probably made with beef broth), and even the kapusta has bacon in it. So I tried the dill pickle soup (forgot that it's usually made with chicken broth), but it was much too salty. The waitress did notice I hadn't eaten it, and took it off the bill, though, which was nice of her. Ended up getting the potato pancakes, and they were pretty good. My dinner companions (not vegetarian) did like their dinners (pierogi, city chicken, and guampkey) very much, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. And the desserts look amazing. I just wish they had more options for vegetarians. Vegetarian options: Only options are potato pancakes or a garden or caesar salad. Or desserts.
What a fun place! We loved the eclectic vibe. I really liked checking out all the different salt and pepper shakers. But the food is the real star. Wish we had found this gem sooner! It's soooo good Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We have been wanting to try this place every time we come into town. My wife is Polish and we just had an amazing experience here. She was taken back in time to her Grandmother's kitchen and was filled with so much joy. It was hard for me to contain myself seeing her so happy. This place is authentic. If you are in the mood for a satisfying meal, a restaurant that places you back a few years with their comfortable decor and exceptional service you need to eat here. Seeing the kitchen made me miss working in them. Very clean and organized. Lyric, if that is how you spell it, was extremely bright and full of enthusiasm. She was so helpful and her words so kind. We will definitely be back again.
Definitely no chain. Homey atmosphere. Food cost homemade. Authentic Polish cuisine. The polishing plate had a generous portion. Chicken livers were delicious. Best carrot cake ever! Our server was friendly and sweet. Lots of parking.
