Cafe Corazon Bay View - Milwaukee

My wife does not care about this place, but I love him. if I have the opportunity to eat in bayview too lunchtime when my wife is busy at work, I choose corazon. there are a few vegan options and they are all delicious.

The menu here has a vegan section and it is full of really good things. I think I have everything they offer, but in the rule lean on the vegan enchiladas. the decor is all mother Mary/sacred heart, just like her original location in riverwest. I prefer to sit on the bar to eat, because it feels less annoying and loud. they can make a reservation, but it is in the rule a quick wait to get a table. in summer they open a back terrace.

The last page of the menu is all vegan; great variety. the coconut milk-firsen cake is amazing.

When my boyfriend and I heard Cafe Corazon was opening a location in Bay View, we held each other and wept tears of joy. Not really, but I did gasp and say yessssss I have 3 main reasons for my excitement: 1) soy chorizo, 2) jalapeno margarita, 3) chilaquiles. To top it off, they have a whole vegetarian/vegan menu page, which makes life a little sweeter and makes ordering a little smoother. The only other thing I wish they had was a regular vegetarian soup because I basically can't help myself when I see tortilla soup on the menu. Even if it's 100 degrees with 40% humidity. But that's not enough to detract from their 5 stars. Food aside, the space for this location is great. I love the tin ceilings, the vibrant colors, and the decor. It's not bursting at the seems like the Riverwest location, but as they accrue more religious paraphernalia it will start to get more of that character you don't wanna rush it and have it look forced. We only sat out on their patio once during BVGN, but it was fantastic and we'll definitely be back. The service is always friendly and prompt, we've never had a grump. We're seriously so happy that they opened this location because it now takes us 5 minutes to walk there rather than having to hop in the car and stare each other down until one of us agrees to not have a second marg so they can drive home.
