Yakiniku Jumbo Shirokane - Minato

Been here 4 times before COVID, and they were pretty all right back then. But seems it is terrible now. Food isn’t expensive and the quality matches. However, service is absolute horrendous. Server was really rude to both our table and the table next to us. We entered at 7:00, he told us last order at 7:30. And he constantly try to upsell and asked us to order more expensive meats, when we don’t order something he suggests he gets visibly upset. It was a very uncomfortable experience. Oh and it doesn’t help there was a baby screaming the whole time. You can do so much better than this place. Go somewhere else.

Best lunch of our lives cannot recommend higher. Our hostess and our chef were truly wonderful and made for the most magical experience. To quote the chef “In Japanese culture it’s a privilege to be a chef”. It was an honor to be Chef’a guests. Domo Arigato!

Top Wagyu Yakiniku experience I’ve ever had, the meat is so tender and creamy. The hot stone wagyu rice and wagyu tartare are also must-have. Great service and drink menu. Would def come back again.

Wagyu quality is really good. It's bit out of the way and you do need reservations. It's popular with the tourist and not many locals. Pretty sure even for the quality of meat the food is overpriced. 4oz fillet for $70 dollars seems bit excessive. I didn't care of many of the side dishes as they didn't offer enough acid or spices to cut through the rich marbling of the beef. Garlic fried rice was good but again butter rich flavors on top of marbled beef.

Food and service were both good. Quality of ingredients was fantastic. A little touristy there were definitely more tourists there than locals but maybe it’s because it’s a fairly residential area and the people there weren’t prepared to pay $20 for one slice of beef bbq price is ok for ny standard but probably seem more expensive for most others. A fair number of staff spoke English.
