This is our local and the best in town????. The staff are lovely restaurant clean service great beautiful white table clothes make it special and food great never fails to be great

We had 5 dishes. The best by far were the veggie dishes. The vindalo and madras had so little meat in them, floating in so much sauce and low on flavor. Very stingey for the price!Same story for the prawn biriani. Very dissapointing as ive had good curry here before a few months ago.

Hi i am from india and have been to this place for last 4 -5 times.I visited this place on WA day with family and friends. We orderd all veg food with drinks.1. Roti (indian bread) not properly cooked. Almost raw.2. Chili mushroom curry missing mushroom and have more raw onions than mushroom. Taste was not good.3. Kashmiri rice was really bad that it smells like soggy socks. I returned rice without any doubt.4. Papadum was totally off as bad smell of oil came out. I returened them and got the new papadum which was not too bad.5. We also ordered malai kofta which was bizarre. Hi guys plz be careful if u have any vouchers or coupons for take away. As this restaurent is not making any fresh food anymore.As an indian citizen i know the taste and smell of proper indian food.I wouldn't go again at this restaurent.Totally dissipointed....

This is a favourite place for us, we come fairly often to eat in as the mid week deal $50 for two meals, starter, rice, nan, two drinks is fantastic! The food itself is beautiful. Tried others in the area but non compare. The service has definitely picked up and the ladies are very attentive with water and making sure everything is ok.Last night was a little under par with the lamb a little over cooked if I'm honest but still really nice.One thing did spoil our evening and this was no reflection on the restaurant but I really think the owner should have spoken to the family with a young daughter and an older son who continued to shout and scream for our entire meal without much intervention from the parents. If we saw this family in there again we would go elsewhere.

Shared a wonderful meal at Shikara with local friends on their recommendation. BYOB a plus. We chose three different meals to share - medium prawns, medium mysore lamb and my choice of hot beef vindaloo. Each was excellent. I like hot curry but actually found the medium hot enough! Hot not for the faint hearted. Great service and definitely recommended for those who like authentic curry.
