Smoke In The Pit - Minneapolis

I 'm so mad I live all the way in Rogers and have to drive to get this catfish! We were visiting George Floyd Square and stopped in for a quick bite to eat, we had no idea the food was going to be this good. The catfish was fried fresh, crispy, not greasy, and soooo good. The candied yams were on point! And the mac 'n cheese had just the right about of kick. Definitely on my list of the Twin Cities best!

It took a while to get our food. The smoked wings were burned. 12 small wings $18.87. The menu has a lot to offer.

Grew up Southside eating Ted Cooks Scott Ja Mamas Cgs all that, came here first time got ribs and Mac he forgot to add the Mac to the order and threw it in for free. Ribs are juicy and perfectly smoked, homemade Mac hits and the owners son who runs it Dwight was a cool dude. I’ll be back.

We visit this restaurant mainly for the wings, and the service is outstanding.

Always fantastic! This place is a real gathering spot for families across generations. The smoked wings are definitely worth the trip, and the prices are great too!
