Jose Pepper's Mexican - Mission

The food was good the staff was friendly my only problem was all the time when I was eating, there was a woman on the opposite side of the restaurant who continued to cough, people were so unpleasant to leave her, the woman finally left and we could continue to experience food, the food and drinks were really good, I had a burrito that was super filled, paired with a strawberry margarita... I will definitely return I have some other menu items in ready to try

If I could give negative 5 stars I would. The stuffed jalapeño peppers USED to be amazing and huge. However what we got tonight in our carry out order looked like they had cut one of their normal peppers in half and called it an order of two. The breading was soaked with grease and looked mushy, but I was nothing compared to the way it looked when cutting them open... The only description that comes to mind is puke wrapped in grease...horrible. So nasty. We ordered the stuffed peppers, chips and espinaca dip...no chips were in the order when we arrived home so I called and complained and we were informed they had "changed the recipe for the peppers when I mentioned their MUCH smaller size. The price is even higher. AWFUL, AWFUL. There used to be whole peppers stuffed with chicken and cheese that looked like food, not vomit. Totally turned off and will NEVER EVER go to Jose Peppers again. Wish I could include the pictures.

Went here for a dinner date for my mother's day weekend food and service was great had the steak fajitas platter and my significant other had the Chimichanga platter with a long island iced tea...nice atmosphere

Still one of the best Tex Mex places in Kansas City. Chips, salsa, and espinaca dip is always on point, and their steak and goat cheese towers are to die for. Super delicious margaritas, and our entrees were huge and filling. Waiter was extremely polite and accommodating. Can't recommend this place enough.

I ordered the Baja Burrito lunch special, and it was good, although the refried beans had a little bit too much spice for me. One of the others at my table ordered a cheese-free vegan-type dish, but the food that arrived did have cheese, which was a problem. So my experience was that the menu food was good but... be cautious when ordering something that is not standard. Service was good, and the restaurant was clean and well kept.
