Rheinland Bakery - MODBURY

We often go out of our way to buy an entire apple or apricot strudel. They only get one delivered a day from their bakery and are happy to hold it to collect later. Coffee is good too. Location can be quite noisy.

The first time I stumbled upon this place was when I literally came out of Woolworths and boom......there it was!The location is unfortunately the worst spot in the Tea Tree Plaza (that whole area is hard to get parking) but if you find yourself down here definitely buy yourself a treat!Fresh, tasty and I'll bet you find something a little different.

The food at this bakery is great it's just such a shame I can't rate higher due to the service. I have never once been greeted with a smile!! I do however continue to go back as they do make great, fresh pastries and sweets. The take away quiches are also good.

Ate the strawberry cheesecake, which was like eating flavourless, textureless shaving foam. This item should not be regarded as a food. The box in which it came was very attractive, though.

I fist became aware of the Rheinland Bakery when they were first established at Hindmarsh in the early 60's. I was amazed at the beautiful cakes as they were presented with a lot of colour, flair and styles. Their cakes taste excellent and it's hard to only buy one. The range is extensive and they all taste as they look. Scrumptious!!
