Írjon visszajelzéstCafe Del Sol is well liked in my family when it comes to breakfast spots. My parents as well as my brother and his wife are regular customers here. During our Germany trip earlier this year, my parents invited us for breakfast at CDS as well. They offer a breakfast buffet on Saturdays and a brunch buffet on Sundays, however we went on a Tuesday morning, so we ordered off the menu. Between the 5 in our dining group, we basically ordered nearly all the breakfast options they have. Each one allows you to choose what kind of bun you want, but it doesn't really matter which one you get: Everyone is delicious as they serve the buns fresh and warm. And since they are baked according to the German baking style, it can't get any better. (Believe me: If we know one thing, then it is how to bake! In the end our table was loaded with different types of fresh buns, jams, Nutella , smoked salmon, cream cheese, scrambled eggs and breakfast sausages. We also ordered orange juice, several coffees, a cappuccino and an espresso. There was nothing that didn't taste good. We had no leftovers. lol As for the service: All orders came out quick and at the same time. The waiter was very friendly and checked on us several times to make sure we had enough jam, coffee, etc.. I now understand why my folks back in DE like to go there.. ; (The REAL stuff of course. German Nutella tastes WAY better than the stuff produced in Canada by the way.
I have been here before and I always stop by for a tasty lunch when I am travelling through the area for my car hobby. It has a bit of a Mexican touch and there are a lot of tables but I still like the atmosphere as it matches the price level although it is better than a fast food restaurant. The selection is wide from pasta, burgers, pizza (largest is 1 meter long), salads and even Indian curry, but on Sundays and Holidays (like May 1st) they also do a large Brunch. I opted for a nice salad with pieces of fried chicken and a honey-mustard dressing. Prices are reasonable and the waiters are friendly. Might also be a nice place to visit for dinner or cocktails in the evening and there is ample parking space available.
I have been a few times since this place opened. The first few times I was not impressed by the choices for vegetarians, however they have changed the menu since, and they offer nice (still on the small side) choices. The service was okay, quick, but I found his attitude left something to be desired. When I requested extra sauce when ordering he told me to wait until I needed it as it was "better than having waste". Although I see his point, he could have worded this better- I believe he wasn't a native german speaker, and hopefully didn't mean to be as rude as he was on purpose. The food itself was average, nothing to complain about but nothing to shout about, either.
If you are with friends it can be fun but don't expect the highest quality of food. The waiter was hard to understand which made it a bit awkward when he tried to joke around. He also indirectly asked for tips which I didn't like. The lighting is also not right, I usually like to see what I am eating.
We came in here on a busy weekend evening, had some drinks and food (Burger and Pizza), but it was nothing special. Food and drinks were average quality as with most chains, nothing special, but the prices were too high for it. The best thing about our visit was the really friendly waiter who was caring for us!
