Phoenix Park Cafe - Monash

We took four children there at the end of the holidays and honestly couldn't understand why they do there'd opening at all. Everything we asked for on the menu they didn't have! No pies, no hot dogs, no wedges.... all displayed as available, lovely lady filling in for the day but poor love was left high and dry with no stock. Won't be back in a hurry.

The most revolting coffee I've ever had. I wondered if the milk was off.When I told the woman that I thought the milk was sour and I was going to pour it out, she took it back herself and said 'no one else has complained, I'm sorry if it didn't work out for you'. She didn't offer a refund, or any gesture of good will. She then asked me to leave the cafe. I told her I thought that was a defensive response. I will never return there!The coffee was $4 which is more expensive than normal. I paid over $20 for two coffees and three biscuits, which I thought was very poor value. It's a pity because it's a beautiful location and has potential.

I have moved to live nearby this cafe and have found the service and the food lovely. This cafe does good coffee and i had a tasty toasted sandwich. The cafe is right next to the adventure play park, skate park and the library so if you have children this would be a good stop on your travels.

Stop in to the Phoenix cafe for a latte and sandwich, then take it for your morning tea or lunch break over to flagstaff gardens for a bite in the sun.

Well, I think this place is good, despite some of the negative presses it has received. we came for a name tag function that many children had. the location with the playgrounds is perfect. I can see why an eating snob is not. like this place, but not someone who only wanted a casual snack with the children. the food was good in this function. good three points sandwiches, mini pizza, early rolls, various types of sausage rolls etc. the best were the broken fish pieces that were really nice. I had good chats both the blonde head wife and the young blonde man who was discussed in several reviews. they were both absolutely beautiful. we had a good afternoon. I would return very happy. it is a 3.5 for me, but since there are no semi-marks, it must be rounded to 4.
