La Quercia - MONTENERO SABINO

Dumped us at a remote table in the restauran. We ordered antipasto and main dish. they forgot about the antipasto and immediately brought the main dish. I told them we ordered antipasto. Owner walked away, they brought antipasto and main dish all together. Lucky they didn't just dump it all together on one plate. We left never to come back. Probably a good restaurant but not for us. Many other super service and good food restaurants in the towns around it.

This is my favorite place outside of Rome. Near a beautiful town called casaprota this restaurant serves fresh and traditional local food. Family owned and run with the grandma in the kitchen and the kids running the front of the house. Perfect for big events and for family gatherings. Love this place so worth coming here even all the way from Philly (USA).

A local favorite, La Quercia needs to be called ahead for lunch or dinner, and is well known for extremely generous proportions of very good pastas heavy on the olive oil and meats. The problem here is how to have a meal that doesn't stay with you to the next day: the appetizers keep coming, as do the pastas, all family style and all geared to be more than you or your group could possibly eat at one sitting. If that's what you like or expect, this is the place for you. The red wine offered at the meal, bottles of Montepulciano Abruzzi, was just so so. The view from the outside seating area is wonderful.

Ambiente rustico e familiare. . . servizio veloce, cibo niente di speciale....la quercia in giardino è incredibile
