Great Wall Szechuan And Mandarin Cuisine

Stayed at the hotel abrego across the street so the Great Wall was the most convenient choice after our LONG drive from Ventura Co!! It was rather busy though they sat us fairly quickly, just to wait a Very long time to get an order taken!! It was also a rather bright room considering the time of night... when we finally got our order in the server was quite attentive after and the food was quite traditional and tasty so it was (maybe) worth the wait?!

I've been here a couple of times and the food has been consistently good. I'm a little disappointed that the lunch special doesn't come with a soup or a spring roll (I felt like I was still hungry). Lol The waitress is quick and nice, but asked me if I had cash. I thought that was a little odd. Parking sucks.

BEST CHINESE FOOD IN MONTEREY COUNTY! We are from Santa Barbara and when we think of Monterey we think of The Great Wall restaurant and how we can't wait to go back! EVERYTHING is DELICIOUS! No matter what you order you won't be disappointed! Service is AMAZING and personal. Very family friendly environment! They even work hard to please your little ones if they're restless like ours. The value is also on point. Not too expensive considering the QUALITY of food that they serve. This will be your new favorite spot! 100% RECOMMENDED!

When I first walked in, I thought based on the decor, the food would be bad, as that it is wonderfully decorated. I was pleasantly surprised with some of the best Chinese food I've had in months. The Peking Duk was moist and freshly prepared. The Mongolian beef was just the right level of spiciness, and I finished every single little piece. The staff was courteous and quick and we had our lunch within 15 minutes. If I lived closer, I would definitely return on a weekly basis.

I was in town with a friend and someone suggested this restaurant so we decided to visit. We went and ordered shrimp fried rice, salt pepper spare ribs, Mongolian beef, crab rangoons, egg rolls, and potstickers for appetizers. 0 complaints. Food was absolutely delicious! Service was great. If you're looking for good Chinese cuisine in the area I promise you will not regret this spot! This is our go-to now when in town.
