High's - Monterey

Fantastic service! Delicious food! Wonderful 50s vibe! I can't express how much I love this restaurant in Monterey! I'm hoping to move to the area when I retire and become a regular customer!

What a great place to eat socialize with my fellow rocketeers! Our club, Valley Aerospace Team #687, meet eat here after launches at Jack Mountain Village every month when scheduled. Check our website to see this! The food is great, the service is great, and the prices are reasonable. Environment is extremely clean and very family oriented. I highly recommend giving this place your business and your dollars! Bon Appetit!

I eat out every day. You would be hard pressed to find better food anywhere including Staunton Harrisonburg.

High's Restaurant has been an 84 year institution in small town America. You would not expect the exceptional quality of food being served coming from a small town restaurant. That is why I eat there almost every day. There is a lot of jealousy about High's success from owners and their relatives of other restaurants trying to gain High's market share. Here is the bottom line:

I was disappointed to find that we couldn't order from the regular menu and were limited to the specials. Chinese cuisine isn't my first choice, and there were no burgers or appetizers available. This experience happened on August 13, 2020, at 4:30 PM, and the waitress was quite rude. I won't be returning to this restaurant; I've been a patron since my childhood, but this visit was not worth my time or money.
