I had the Thursdays Special, Meat and 3. Beef Tips w/Rice , Sweet potatoes, Greens, and Squash Casserole.. YUM, customer service was very nice of the hostess and waitress. If you are looking for good soul food cooking.. This is the place to try!

One of the best places I've ever eaten. The entire staff is super friendly and the service is excellent. Amazing atmosphere! The prices are great. They would expect to pay much more.

We haven't been to Summer's Place since the pandemic. You have a very extensive menu, much too large for all the selections that are made daily. I ordered the Crumb Chicken, roasted green tomatoes, Squash-Casserole. Server warned us about hot plates. Apparently the food was cold on the plates because the food itself was definitely not hot. When I bite a chicken, the caess ole was actually bold because it was still cold! Good. The tomatoes were barely beige, not golden brown as they should be. I don't know where the Squash pieces were in Squash-Casserole - I found the onions Cheddar cheese a white Goop that wasn't recognizable. The salad of my husband tasted like the old salad of black iceberg pieces. The salad dress was delicious. Cornbread was not crispy or well baked. Overall, the food was a disappointment of prepared foods, badly heated.

I really enjoyed my dinner at Sommer's Place. The price is very reasonable, I ordered dinner for three adults and a child plus an appetizer for less than $55 before tip. I ordered the meatloaf and three sides and my wife ordered the pork chop with three sides. I ate every bite. My wife didn't complain but had some small critiques. Location isn't bad but the details and decor feel small town. Server was attentive and not pushy. I would definitely come again

My family has gone here for years it?s delicious. We always get crab claws. I usually get a salad with French onion soup and it fills me up. All of their food is pretty good. The atmosphere is great and the staff is very friendly.
