China Buffet - Monticello

Been going here for a while now. Nice that its close to home and has a good selection of Oriental food to choose from. I have never gotten sick from eating here so no worries there and I've had about everything they offer. Decent selection of sushi and the hibachi grill option is nice. I'm HUNGRY, COMPLETELY EMPTY PLATTERS, what IS in the platers was stail and VERY COLD, SUSHI SMELLED AWFUL~ WOULDN'T even put it to my mouth, VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING, WASTE OF GAS TOO Food: 1 Service: 1

The food was over or undercooked and salted/sugared way more than it should 've been to mask the bland, soggy nature. I tried a few dishes and while the crab was passable, the amounts of cheese and celery put in to save on crab made this a goopy mess. The cooked rat 's were fatty at best and their signature house egg foo young was crispy on the outside, watery, bland mess on the inside. The onions were often undercooked and the last saving grace, their sugar donuts, still taste of yeast in 40% of the middle. The chocolate pudding was too rich in chocolate as if they poured too much syrup in and the undercooked cheese cake had enough sugar that one small tasting left me with gritty sugar sticking to my teeth everywhere. I 'm not going back here until there is new ownership that wont allow this. P.S. The server was very nice and attentive. Hopefully they give her a raise! Some of the food wasn't fresh. I love coconut chicken but theirs was so tough I couldn't bite a piece in half. Egg rolls and chicken wings were not crisp, as though they had been cooked awhile ago. Both me and my friend were very disappointed to say the least... Most of the food (fried rice, wontons, green beans, sweet and sour chicken, etc) were so bland. Little to no flavor. The general tso's chicken was not spicy at all and the chicken wasn't crunchy in the slightest. For being almost $16 a person, I'd say it's not worth it.
