Josie's Diner - Monticello

1/30/21 CLOSED Looks like they have been closed for a while. Try to have breakfast here at least once every time I get to Monticello, which isn't as often as I'd like to. Sometimes I have to settle for lunch. Either way it's a great place to take a break from fast food and enjoy a down homey meal. Good food and exceptional service.

Great home cooked food definitely a place to go at when you just cannot take fast food anymore.

It was ok. Won't be a first choice. Pork chops tough. Chicken greasy and cold. Veggies so so. No lettuce on salad bar. Clean though and good waitress.

Really good breakfast buffet, I think the only one in Monticello really worth the money to go, I have never had a bad meal there

We visited just after the lunch rush. The buffet offered meatloaf (very good) and fried chicken along with a decent salad bar for $9.99 including drink. A recent health dept. score was 98. Not a drive to destination but worth a stop if you're in the area. Friendly service.
