Seasalt & Ceviche - Montréal

We were booked for the St Lawrence Cruise for the FireWorks Finale and after booking in at the cruise kiosk, we wandered looking for a place to eat,The Seasalt & Ceviche was to be the chosen and we were not disappointed. Sevice was good (we were there just prior to Saturdays' main dining hour), The SeaBass Ceviche was very tasty as were my shrimp. We both had the grilled octopus and delighted to find it so good, not overdone and chewy.Not a place for shallow pockets, the price and service and food quality were on a par with other dining in the Old Montreal area.

Accueil correct mais sans conviction (en début de soirée) mais avec un enfant de 10 ans, on vous place dans l'arrière salle qui n'a aucun charme avec des prétextes bidon, alors qu'il restait des places à l'avant. Bonne qualité de la nourriture et du plat en suggestion mais rapport qualité prix vraiment discutable . Service correct mais longue attente pour le plat (plus de 35 minutes!). Assez bruyant. Bref, pas une adresse pour sortir en famille. Plutôt un endroit branché pour prendre un verre avec musique non-stop.

Our afternoon at Seasalt and Ceviche was an experience! What started as a sunny beautiful day turned into a monsoon. We had lunch under the umbrellas of the really pretty terrace facing the harbor in Old Towne and ordered salads and ceviches along with house wine, all were very good. The service however was excellent. The poor servers had to keep coming out with rays during what turned out to be a monsoon! they never lost their cool or had the slightest attitude. In face they made the afternoon even more fun. great location, service and good food.

Everything you'd expect from a typical hotspot. Pricy menu, good ambiance. Definitely great for birthday dinners. Or girls night out.

Service was slow, when the waiter took our drinks order; it took probably 10 to 15 mins to get the bottle we ordered. The starters were nice, but the main courses were absolutely nothing to be desired-for $31 dollars, the lamp chops were a disgrace. There was 4 tiny chops, and for the little bit of meat that was on them, they were raw, completely undercooked and mainly pure fat. My friend described her fish and chips as, at best, limp. I sent back my lamb chops and instead of being offered something else for dinner, I was offered dessert, which I accepted, but it’s not good enough. I wanted a dinner not a dessert. I paid $31 for 4 tiny pieces of raw, lamb chops. I would not recommend eating here – location is great , but service and main course, not good.
