Írjon visszajelzéstWe ate here two nights, four different dishes, all well cooked and efficiently presented. Excellent beers brewed locally. A pity the historic building is the victim of a rather tasteless renovation - quite uncomfortable seating, though the carpeting dampened the noise level well.
Nice old style seating in a dining room setting with fire place and window views to the street, plus casual tables through out the pub.Order and pay at counter after which food is served to your table. Friendly staff. Craft beer if desired plus the regular beverages.Lunch was very good, with small serves available (which were still sizable!). I had a chicken and bacon burger which was quite nice with lovely bacon and fresh salad, the chips were hot and tasty. My other had a small chicken schitzel and salad and chips, also very tasty.We were passing on a Tuesday which as most shops here are closed Mon-Wed it was very quite and most enjoyable.
Had great lunch here with friends Pitt the didn't sweep up the dead cockroaches before we arrived Bar manager said the place is crawling with them Strange thing to say to a new customer to the pub
I ordered the Salmon and Asparagus. For $26 it was over priced and small in portion. The presentation wise wasn't too bad. Salmon skin was definently crispy as half of it was burnt and the salmon was over cooked. Staff were friendly and had good...More
While staying in Morpeth, turned up to this pub not knowing what to expect. Turned out the meals were excellent as was the service and to enjoy a somewhat quieter 'ambience', pick a table on the verandah upstairs without the TV screens and the roar from the bar's patrons. Definitely recommend the food.
