On a cool Thursday afternnon, an associate and I stopped in the Main Street Chicken Chef in Morris for a chat over coffee. We were served in a timely manner, with so-so coffee in white 6 fl. oz. industrial mugs. After some time, the server asked if we would like a refill. More to be polite that anything, we acknowledged we would, but left most of the second cup. Since colleague was in a hurry, said I would buy coffee. Was shocked to be informed that would be $10.17. Price was for 4 cups, at $2.50 a cup. "Bottomless refills are only for full meals." Would purchasing a muffin entitled us to a second cup? "No, only full meals." Phone number on reciept is disconnected. Telephone inquiry to manager, correct number found online, has had no response. IF the Chicken Chef is so opposed to casual drop-ins, please lock your doors between the hours of 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. Avoid, AVOID, A-V-O-I-D this so called 'family resturant'.
