La Fiesta Mexican - Morton

Great atmosphere with a lively crowd. I tried the chicken fajita and was impressed by the quality of the chicken—it was very well prepared. The meal was delicious overall, but I wish there had been more variety in the vegetables; there was only bell pepper included.

Morton's serves the best Mexican cuisine. I look forward to every visit to La Fiesta. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is friendly. Plus, you get unlimited free chips and salsa!

I’m often out and about and enjoy stopping for chips and salsa. However, my experience at this restaurant was mixed. One of the staff members was quite strict about not letting me sample the salsas and wasn't very friendly. The small container of salsa costs $2, and they do offer 4-5 different varieties, which is nice for some good options. The manager was friendly, though also a bit strict, and allowed me to taste some salsas at the empty bar. The salsa itself is really good—definitely one of the best I've tried in Illinois!

Food was good service was OK, but not great. I would go again when in the area and wanting Mexican food.

The food is excellent, margaritas are delicious, wait staff is super friendly and welcoming. The only negative (and for me this is huge) is they do not serve flan. Their menu says they do, and they will bring you something that looks like flan if you order it, but it is essentially caramel cheesecake. WAY too sweet, cream-cheesy, and overall not very good. Flan should have an eggy custard texture with a thin layer of watery liquid, caramelized sugar dripping over it. This cheesecake concoction is covered in thick caramel syrup and whipped cream. Very disappointing when you're craving flan. Perhaps they've tried to Americanize it for those who think they like flan but actually don't? I will definitely eat here again and again, though! I'll just have to try something else for dessert. ;P
