Govinda's - Moundsville

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant twice and the food was excellent both times. We dined in the temple room, which has an Indian cuisine theme. The flavors were authentic and pure, making it a delightful experience. I highly recommend giving it a try!

The restaurant is situated in the lodge adjacent to the Hare Krishna temple. I visited for lunch on a Friday and inquired about Vegan choices. While there were limited options, I was informed that most items contain ghee. I decided to order the Philly Wrap without cheese or sauce, and it was delicious. For those who consume dairy, this place offers a wide variety. Although vegan options are scarce, I would return for the Philly Wrap. As a bonus, there is a path across the street where you can take a leisurely stroll along a pond and catch a glimpse of peacocks wandering around.

I had a great dining experience at Govinda's Restaurant on a Saturday night before heading to the Swan Boat Festival. The halva dessert was fantastic, along with the other dishes and freshly made puris.
