Gondola Italian - Mount Airy

Definitely a great place to eat. Staff are friendly. Would recommend to anyone.

Delicious dinner and excellent and friendly service. And definitely order one of the yummy homemade desserts! 10 stars- highly recommended!

VIOLENTLY ATTACKED BY THE OWNER. Went in for my birthday dinner. I was not happy with how things went so I chose to leave. I only had an ice tea. I did not eat my meal. I left a $5 on the table and walked out. ONLY !!! to be VIOLENTLY ATTACKED by the owner. I was in my car. He was leaning all in my window and as I attempted to drive away he punched me in the face. He kept saying I didn't have the money to eat and kept calling me poor. I got out to confront him only to be attacked right away again with more punches and pushes. He also poured an unknown liquid on me inside my car. Happy birthday to me I guess.

We got two small strombolis and it was $44??? With no tip or anything added. Nearly $50 for two SMALL strombolis is absolutely outrageous. I could have went to a steakhouse and left a tip for less than that. Felt obligated to pay for it considering they already made it and had it prepared for pickup. Prices online and on facebook do not reflect their true prices. I am making it my life’s mission that Gondolas acquires a reality check and brings their prices down to a reasonable amount. I called and they said the price was correct and that they had upped their menu prices. Absolutely bonkers.

Wow, wow, wow! We stumbled upon the Gondola restaurant on our way through Mt. Airy and we are so glad we did! The food is amazing and the portions are incredibly generous. If you want great italian food at a great price, be sure to stop!
