When we arrive the restaurant is reasonably empty, but by the time our plates were cleared away almost every table was occupied - not to mention the hoards
Galangal has won gold plate awards and moved premises since my last visit, plus the prices have jumped upThe menu is designed to share.
Delicious. It's difficult to find Thai food in Perth that isn't cheap and low quality. This was perfect. We had the Pad Prik King Goong prawn dish - best Thai prawns I have ever had no question. Also had the Massaman curry which was very nice and the cashew nut chicken also delicious. No meals were oily all were premium and yummy. Really nice quality food. Just reduced it to a 4 because I found out they charged us for water when they kept bringing it to the table...that's sneaky I don't like that.
Food: 3/5 Service: 2/5 For a place that has a fine dining feel and prices to match, we were shocked to be seated at a Bunnings tressel table hidden under a black table cloth! ???? Every dish was well presented, tasted satisfactory but overpriced. A large bowl of tom yum soup with a few prawns was $24 and a bowl of plain rice was $5! Dessert (pictured) is the only thing I would go back for: coconut ice cream with a 'tea-ramisu' ($14). I won't be heading back anytime soon.
