Bayou - Mount Vernon

Ordered a salad that I have gotten many times there in the past. I usually love the bayou chef salad. I ordered one to go. Not only did the price go up to $24 but there was less steak in it. What really disturbed me was when I took a bite of my salad and tasted barbecue some thing. So then found that some type of pulled pork or barbecue chicken had dripped down into my salad. Not ok! Not for $24. Very disappointed. Lost a customer :

I've been dining here for many years. I have always enjoyed the food with my family and friends. The service is always on point. Nice people home town vibe live music on the weekends. I travel from Long Island specifically just to eat here and travel right back that's how we feel about the food, drinks, service, and all around hospitality. This time we went for Sunday brunch and it didn't disappoint. I'll post some photos. We ordered chicken and waffles, chocolate chip pancakes, Buffalo wings, voodoo wings corn bread, collard greens, and of course the pot of mudbugs crayfish) enjoy. I know we did ?

Great little hang for a beer. Fried wings are outstanding!! Really haven't had a bad dish yet. Bar has a bit of a divey vibe. They do have local bands playing sometimes as well.

Food was delicious and huge portions, the build your own man cheese is to die for, dirty rice is super tasty and friendly staff

Customer service food was awesome. Drinks were so good. Prices were extremely reasonable. The ambient truly gave you that Louisiana vibe ?
