Great food makes it!. This is a bar only restaurant in a dry district, so bring cash and your own bottle in a paper bag. They'll uncork it and return it with coffee cups. The service is also gracious, well-considered and attentive. We sat for half an hour without water, utensils, napkins, bread... But the food is AMAZING. So put your big city biases aside, relax and enjoy the show. People are all fun, including your fellow players. And the food is worth waiting and also a bargain. Besides, where the chops are you going at night in Mountain City, TN??

One of the best. I have been fortunate enough to dine in a few Italian restaurants in Boston's North End that were superb. I would never have expected to find their equal in a small town in far Western Tennessee, but I did. La Cucina is immaculate, friendly and cozy. Everything is cooked to order and the bread is baked fresh each morning. It is all to die for. In fact, you just might be tempted to lick your plate. For dessert my wife and I split a tiramisu that was arguably the best I've ever enjoyed. We will be back before we have to return home. One last comment. Our waitress was wonderful.

Mateo and Graciela. It is a delightful experience to visit Mateo's restaurant and savour his Italian cooking. The menu shows many dishes all look wonderful, so try any of them and you wont be disapointed!! All fresh nothing but the best ingredients, prepared while you wait, so be patient because it NOT A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT. His beautiful wife Graciela, and her mouth watering SALSA PICANTE ECUATORIANA is unique. It can not be duplicated!! She uses her family's recipe. Be sure to take Graciela's Salsa home with you and enjoy it!! I can't hardly wait to return and eat their awesome cooking!!

The authentic Italian food is excellent at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend.
