Írjon visszajelzéstThis is the only ice cream shop I've found on the peninsula that sells gelato. It's decent, but it doesn't really compare to authentic gelato.
This is one of the few spots in the area where you can enjoy gelato, and they offer a wide variety of flavors to choose from. They also allow you to sample them before making a decision. My personal favorite is the mango sorbet, paired with the coconut macadamia nut short. Just be ready for a bit of a wait, especially on nice days!
I absolutely love this place! The gelato is fantastic, with a wide variety of flavors, including some unique options that are all delicious. Whenever I'm in the Mountain View area, I always try to stop by for gelato. The service is excellent; they even let you sample the gelato before you decide, which I really appreciate. The restaurant has a charming vibe with its old-school retro style, making it quite iconic and recognizable. Parking in Mountain View is pretty convenient, as there are public lots available; we were able to find one nearby and walk over easily.
I came here on a Friday night around 8pm, and there was a short line. Service was fine but not the warmest employees. You can only try 3 flavors. The shop was cute and felt authentic. There is very minimal seating inside and outside. Parking is street or in a public lot nearby. I ordered a regular cup $8) with half cookies and cream and half strawberry cheesecake. I really really enjoyed this gelato, and honestly, one of the best I've had. I loved the texture most of all; it was icy yet creamy and a little stretchy. The gelato was much softer than American ice cream which is much denser and more solid. The cookies and cream was classic and great. The strawberry cheesecake was also very good, and there was tartness from the cream cheese that was almost lemony. It was perfectly sweet in my opinion. Overall, this is a great gelato spot. They have lots of recognitions for a reason. I am definitely coming back to try other flavors!
I tried a scoop of the cherry and strawberry fresca ice cream for $8, and since I'm a fan of strawberry flavors, I preferred that over the cherry. The ice cream was creamy and made for the perfect dessert after my nearby meal. One great feature is that you can sample the flavors before deciding, which I really appreciated. The parlor is quite small, with just three chairs and a few tables inside, and it tends to get busy, so it may not be the best place to sit and eat. Fortunately, there are plenty of outdoor seating options along the street. I did have to drive around a few times to find parking on a Sunday afternoon.
