Írjon visszajelzéstTipical old Alentejo architecture in a old wine celar and nice courtyard. If you are lucky, you can taste Carving wine, rare in Europe. If you are not lucky, you may taste one of de many good wines of Piteira or Cooperativa da Granja Amareleja. The food is around Bacalhau, (Codfish) and Alentejo meat. Meat hunting and shelfish is at your disposal. Local wild Asparagus and Mushrooms are a must .
This was a lucky discovery, not planned. When we arrived, late to lunch, the restaurant was complete, so we had to wait in the nice courtyard. For the first time ever the waitress came out with not only a menu but also wine, bread, cheese and a local fried snack for us while we waited. The cuisine isn't french fancy but food is generous, and everything is made from real produce, no prefabs, and tastes absolutely delicious. Although the restaurant continued filled with guests and new ones kept coming, our service remained efficient and personal and we left really happy with the experience. We had starters, meal, wine, dessert and coffee and it cost a pittance compared to Lisbon.
