The Australian Murgon

I switch between the two bottle shops in Murgon for my alcohol purchases, which makes it seem like I don't have a problem. I primarily buy one brand of beer, but The Australian also offers a great selection of wines and spirits. They provide excellent advice as well.

We rode a portion of the rail trail from Wondai to Murgon and stopped at the hotel for a coffee on a Sunday, when most places were closed. The staff were incredibly hospitable. The publican even took the time to greet us and have a conversation. I highly recommend this hotel. It's a friendly town with a welcoming atmosphere.

Rooms where clean, not showers, water pressure was good. Bed was comfortable plenty of pillows and blankets. Good mobile and Internet signal. Coffee and tea provided. Had a good sleep.

The meal was quite average. I ordered the grilled chicken burger, but what I received was just cooked chicken. On the bright side, the chips were good.
