Cypress Room Island Vista Resort

The only reason I didn't give this restaurant 5 stars is because I found it quite expensive, which seems to be the case with most places in Myrtle Beach. The food was excellent, and the service was great as well. However, I think $58 for breakfast is a bit steep. They do provide a gift card at the front desk, but that amount is quickly used up in one meal. Aside from that, I really enjoyed my experience!

The food was delicious, featuring a good variety on the menu, and the staff were exceptional in accommodating dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free options. The view of the water was stunning, and the service was outstanding, both contributing to a lovely evening. However, the decor felt a bit outdated, and while the menu was quite good, I felt it could have been a bit more special given the price. For instance, using regular tomatoes in the caprese salad instead of something like flavorful heirloom tomatoes or offering a generic house salad with just a choice of vinaigrettes rather than a few unique salad options were minor drawbacks.

Great food and excellent pricing. You get what you pay for a wise man once said. The Cypress burger is hands down the best burger I’ve ever gotten. Alex was super nice and attentive. Was here in 2016,2019,2022,2023!!! It’s still amazing. Will be returning in August 2024. Keep up the great work. Updated: We went here for breakfast on Friday morning (last week) KEVIN was by far the GREATEST we’ve ever had here at the Cypress Room!!! So friendly personable! Please see that he sees this gets the proper accolades he DESERVES! Friendly people in the food service is hard to come by. With Kevin he sets the BAR HIGH!!! Thanks Kevin!

I took a getaway trip to Island Vista from Chicago to find some peace of mind, and I'm happy to say that I achieved that, largely thanks to two of the friendliest bartenders I've ever met. I was feeling a bit down, but John and Les really lifted my spirits. Please let them know that they made a significant difference for both me and my sister during our stay. Their amazing personalities truly brightened our evenings!
