Was quite delighted to see such strong collection of veg starters. With the indian curry and bread items names looking normal we decided to start and end with just the starters. Baffled over the starter menu we ordered 4 items. Subz seekh banarasi Skewered kababs crafted from mashed potatoes, grated vegetables and cottage cheese infused with herbs and spices. Green to look at, this baked kabab came with mint chutney and onions. It had the inimitable mosaic pattern of grated veggies. And yes it was good to taste. Jimmikand ke kabab – malai This is the Elephant foot yam baked in clay oven. I had never ordered yam anywhere before and I don’t even remember finding it in any menu. Anyway, zero oil as its baked but has that gooey feeling as u chew. 3 variants are in the menu. we ordered the malai one. It’s not that great but you can give it a try. Paneer cigar roll – There has to be something fried in your starters else its not complete.Paneer cigar rolls are the spring roll version of paneer. Stuffed with grated cheese bell peppers oregano chilli flakes deep fried served with sweet chilly sauce. It’s quite an ideal choice for paneer lovers. Mushroom yakitori Button mushroom marinated with teriyaki Kikkoman and oyster sauce. You can call it mushroom satey. Well cooked button mushrooms and red green peppers to a stick. Served with oyster sauce. It just comes with 3 sticks so eat faster when you are two in number :D Overall had a decent experience and would love to try other veg starters. eatandroll.wordpress.com

A new establishment that's taking on neighbor Olive Garden - Pienso is a crowd-pleaser. It's USP is its fully vegetarian menu and I must say the Tandoori Khazana is astonishing value for money. I counted at least 14 different pieces of assorted vegetarian kababs; all for a mere 220 rupees. This was a hands-down winner. The cream of tomato soup was passable. I ordered a paneer sizzler which was essentially a bed of fried rice served with fries and paneer in teriyaki sauce - it is a bit of an acquired taste. I also sampled the butter naan and kadai vegetables and they were good. The ambience is disappointing because though this place claims to be a resort, the restaurant is just a small dining room. Olive Garden next door has a spectacular ambience by comparison. That's where I think the management of the resort have got it wrong. When people come to a resort, they expect a relaxed open vibe which this place simply doesn't have. The restaurant feels like a floor... read more
A nice decent place! The menu offers wide variety of delicious starters! Overall, Taste: 4/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambience: 4.5/5 PS: I specially liked the 'Paneer Cigar Rolls', Worth the try!!
All the good food was undone by the fact that the bottled water was charged for Rs 50 but had clear labels which mentioned "Packed for IRCTC ' was to be sold at Rs15 . A hundred rupees charged for something sold at 30 /- is a clear sign of violation. i unfortunately left the bill behind to realise i could not contest the overpriced charges. Least i could do is share this to let others know it's a blatant act of cheating !!
