Tiger Trail - Royal Orchid Metropole

Nice place and very well maintained. I liked the food very much and I think the menu is little pricier for the portion size they serve. Overall, it is a historic place of Mysore, it is worth visiting their food and trying.

This is a restaurant at the Hotel Royal Orchid of Mysore. We went to the lunch buffet and felt thrilled by taking a look at the seating order, the food choice and the amazing service. The yellow painted walls were really cool on the eyes. The Pani Puri with Wodka Pani felt brilliant. The Dessert options were wonderful. We came with empty stomach and left filled with more than enough of our stomach. I want to visit this place sometime.

Went there for breakfast.It was a buffet with an elaborate menu. There were different kind of bread including croissants and rolls.Chicken sausage and baked beans were available but not great in taste.No bacon.poori and sabji was just okay.Though there was a live coubter for omlette and fried eggs the tawa or the oil was not fresh as it did stink.South Indian breakfaat was also there.People were somewhat friendly and one person even asked if we want something else like dosa etc.Strawberry smoothie waa good but not the grape juice. The place looks pretty and neatly arranged. Furnotures and decor have a good blend to make it look royal.But in the intricate designs of the chair dust was well settled which ia not a good feeling.They have outside seating arrangement as well, but since the food is arranged inside it is better to have it inside.

Horrible service. I went there with my family to celebrate a small event. Management is horrible. I called before arriving there and they said they are not taking reservations and there was only walk in. Once I reached there, no one seemed to have any control over what was going on in the restaurant. One of the chefs and a manager told us that it is impossible to seat us. A few mins later another manager asked us to wait a few mins and that he would find us the first available table. There 's absolutely no coordination amongst the staff. After about 30 mins we were given a seat and no one came to take the order for about 25 mins after that. It was already 10pm by then and I ordered all courses in one go because I lost faith that the staff would tend to us. The food came late and was just ordinary. Nothing great. They didn 't even change the plates between courses. The waiters are more keen on closing up the restaurant than tending to the guests eating at their hotel. Then came the worst part billing. They took over 30 mins to just prepare the bill. The waiters, management all seemed to settle in a small room doing God knows what. I had to stand by that room to pay them. Not one of the managers were bothered by this. The staff simply doesn 't care. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is not customer friendly. It is not worth the money either. There are many more nicer restaurants in Mysore. Please go anywhere else but here.

A nice place at the heart of the Mysuru city. The pricing is reckless. The food isn't great on it's own but when you check on the pricing for a dish it is pathetic to visit this place. All ethnic groups flock here. It is a culturally diversified place as people from all walks visit though its mostly rich urbaners. I would suggest to try other places. You could definitely try their lunch buffet which is economical and best of tasty dishes are done for the buffet.
