Írjon visszajelzéstFantastic and authentic restaurant that makes you feel at home. The jalapeno poppers are poppin'. The puposas are also incredible.
El Pampero gets five stars, not because it's the fanciest place in town but because it delivers more value than expected. The papusas are wonderful as well as the burritos and tacos. I love that you can sit in your own room too.
The pupusas come out piping hot and the filings are delicious. I love any of the ones that have spinach in them. Service is good and they are really friendly. Got to love good inexpensive food.
The food there is amazing, especially the pupusas. The slaw and sauce on those things, oh my God! Everything always comes out hot and I have never had the servers get an order wrong. The service could be better, though. Once you get your food, it's like they forget you're there, making drink, chips, and salsa refills hard to come by. Part of you doesn't care because the food is so good, but a girl gets thirsty when she's stuffing her face with pupusas haha.
Wow. From the exterior it would seem to be like any one of a thousand little hole-in-the-wall Hispanic kitchens, but no. The quality of the food, and the pride taken in preparing it are extraordinary. A quick peak in the kitchen reveals a model of cleanliness and order I've not seen before (and I always look). Salvadoran food is a little different from Mexican, but is familiar enough not be intimidating or too exotic. Lighter on spices than Mexican, the East Texas palate will find it appealing. I sure did, I will be back!
