La Gare aux anes - Nant

We arrive at the donkey station and we are welcomed by the boss. Very nice. the frame is original but lacks a little maintenance. Speaking with the boss, we learn that she took over the place three months ago without having time to bring her touch of decoration. It's normal, in the summer season it's better to welcome guests because in this region winter is very long and it will have time to redo its decor...Côté menu rien d'extraordinaire but we ate to our hunger correct products. The trout was also excellent.On the map this famous trout was steamed. In the plate, she was freaked out. overall we enjoyed the whole but the rate remains high for the service. We ordered a bottle of vintage rose. it turned out to be unbreakable. The boss told us normal the vintage wine is gross but I have to finish the stock of the former owner. she billed us the bottle and offered us a 1/4 carved pichet slightly better. We'll keep this address so we don't make the mistake of returning. the boss is nice but no competence in the restoration. I think that with this type of service and without being re-incorporated the establishment will soon be forgotten by the customers who will pass it.

As emphasized by the other reviews the place is very picturesque, original and full of charm. has the opposite of the standardized hotels of the large chains. Our room was a rustic but for a very reasonable price so a good compromise for a stage night. The reception and service are pleasant.concerning the restaurant, we chose grilled meat and we were received by the quality of the meat (too hard, can be simply too cooked)? It's really a pity because potatoes and vegetables were good. with a better meat I would have put four rounds without hesitation. However, the owners really gave me the impression that I had a heart to treat their customers. They deserve to be encouraged and I don't doubt that these little kitchen elas will be quickly corrected.

2-day visit with my little children. Very nice home, a perfect setting for children, very correct meals. A very quiet and bucolic place to relax. In short 2 days that children will not forget so soon:)

Good local cuisine, hearty and good regional dishes. fast and pleasant service. We'll be back!!
