Creperie de Broceliande - Nantes

Quues outside the restaurants tell it all! Usually go to the next one door but since it was full decided to go next door. Staff was VERY welcoming and VERY professional however the quality of pancakes was of minor quality as less crispy compared with its neighbour. Savoury pancakes were really nice though. So in a nutshell no problem to stop by Broceliande but not my first choice.

A creperie near the Place Royale with a fairly large range, and some slightly unusual fillings, e.g. boudin noir. Service quite good. OK for lunch if you're in the area.

This was an "accidental find" as following the recommedation of many advisers, we headed for the most famous Crêperie Heb-Ken. However, CH-B had been too crowded that we decided to try the Crêperie de Broceliande which was just beside it and which looked very quiet. The small CdB was also a little bit busy at the time we sat down but the staff had been very attentive to us. We were greeted by friendly and very welcoming staff. The one who waited on us made excellent recommendations - crêpe and drinks... We had the best crêpe in town and had been served like royalties. Would highly recommend this crêperie to anyone who's visiting Nantes...

You can watch the wonderful chef make her crepes and gallettes on the bottom floor. They had a nice selection of gallettes and crepes at a reasonable price. We asked the waitress a few questions in our fractured French and she became flustered and imposed a large bottle of cider on us (w/a small amount of alcohol. I liked it but the twenty year-olds didn't seem to)! Other than that, the food was quite nice and the woman who does the cooking was delightful!
