Hal Yamashita was a beautiful, serene place to take our friends out to dinner for my husband's birthday. It wasn't too loud that we couldn't talk. The food was terrific. We ordered an assortment of items to check out the quality of the food. Our friend who travels to Japan regularly indicated that the food was as good as he gets when in Japan.

Hal Yamashita was fantastic. The quality of the fish was unmatched compared to any other restaurant in Napa. It was far superior to Morimoto, and the prices were quite reasonable! The service was exceptional as well. We will definitely return!

Authentic and of high quality! Everything was fantastic, from the Otoro and Chirashi to the truffle-grilled edamame and even the matcha ice cream! The staff were excellent as well. We will definitely be coming back to this place as our go-to spot for food.
